WINDERMERE MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, 10K & RELAY 2012

The Full Marathon starts at 7:00 a.m. on Riverbend Road in Post Falls, Idaho (by the factory outlet mall). The start will be on a five lane wide flat road,
then loop through a modern corporate/industrial park before entering the Centennial Trail 2.1 miles into the race.

The Centennial Trail is an asphalt path, 12 feet wide in most places, that follows the Spokane River. The course is gently rolling with a net elevation
drop of approximately 239 feet. In mid-May, the river flows full with white water which is audible as well as visible! The Trail crosses the river twice
before entering Riverfront Park and twice within the Park. The course runs through the campus of Gonzaga University just before entering Spokane's
beautiful Riverfront Park.

Water and sports drinks will be available at 15 aid stations along the course; ample portable toilets will be available along the course. The course
will be highly monitored but runners are advised that the Centennial Trail cannot be closed to other recreational interests and it may be possible to
encounter pedestrians, bikers and roller bladers along the course. Vehicle traffic will be controlled at the three significant road crossings along the
course up to a 14 minute-per-mile pace (approximately a 6 hour finish time); after that time, all participants must follow traffic regulations as
pedestrians. Aid stations and course monitors will remain for as long as a 20 minute-per-mile-pace or until the last walker passes.
